Guest guest
This is from a book. "If you do have iron-deficiency anemia, your doctor will initially prescribe large amounts of iron - often 200 to 240 milligrams a day, usually in a form called ferrous sulfate. (Experts caution against taking this much iron without medical supervision.) Avoid using over-the-counter preparations such as enteric-coated iron tablets or capsules containing slow-release granules, experts say. Both can interfere with the body's ability to absorb the iron. And make sure your doctor continues your treatment for a sufficient amount of time. Although your anemia will be corrected in 3 to 4 months, it takes an additional 6 to 12 months of therapy for your body's iron stores to replenish."peaceluv1969 <peaceluv1969 wrote: I have a important question to ask of anyone who might know. Guest guest
Thank You Eric, for taking the time to give me that info. I have had Bariatric Surgery and am not absorbing the Ferrous Sulfate, I was just wondering if maybe there was a herb, that maybe I could absorb better and get my blood levels back up. Thank You, KarenEric Holland <eholl2002 wrote: This is from a book. Guest guest
This is such a crock of . . . . Typical Medico doo doo. You do NOT want to use inorganic IRON for a supplement. Your best source of Organic Iron is Blackstrap Molasses. You can replace a low Iron deficiency in three weeks using the Body Balance + Formula. For those with other major problems like Cancer, it might take up to 3 months maximum but 6 to 12 months is totally false. Burn the book. ;-) In Health and Love, Doc Doc Shillington727-447-5282Doc - Eric Holland herbal remedies Friday, November 25, 2005 12:05 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - Hello everyone, I am new to the group.
