Drying Rosehips

Hello everyone, my name is Léonie and I am new here. I have been

enjoying the list so far and love the recipes in the files and also all

the pictures. *SMILE*

I have a bunch of rosehips that my mother picked for me on one of her

walks. I wanted to dry some out to feed my horses since learning how

good they are for them. I know that it is best to dry them out on the

bush but they would have all been gone by that time. LOL!

Anyways, I have been using stacked mesh sweater dryers to dry out the

rose hips. How do I know when they are " correctly " dried out (I am new

to all this) and is it alright to give them the stems along with the

rose hips?

Thanks so much for any help on this. If this is the wrong list to be

asking about drying herbs would someone please direct me to a correct

one.
