Guest guest
Hate to burst the Doctor's Bubble but I doubt she have Sinus infections because she clenches her teeth!!! But seriously; what does your wife eat a lot of? Chances are it is something in her diet that causes an Inflammation of the Sinuses. I know it's rather personal to list your wife's diet on a forum? But it would certainly help us to pin-point her problem. No one should have to suffer with a " curable sympton " . In the meantime; try Vitamin C daily if nothing else! herbal remedies , " tim " <pontiacman1> wrote: > > She has chronic sinus problems , She was told it was because of her > clenching her teath . Guest guest
Tim, I had chronic sinus problems and allergies since childhood. I did a colon and liver cleanse when I was 50 (two years ago). I've not had a sinus problem since.---Not one infection. I don't know why that cured my chronic sinus problem/allergies (I had sinus surgery a few years back), but it worked for me. Guest guest
i dont know if this would do any good ... but when i was working in germany , i had to take one daughter to the dr for this treatment , ... hich in the meantime i have used effectively for this family : take a pot of water . the pot has to be the size of the face of the person being treated . there needs to be about 1 1/2 inch water in the pot . get water to a boil ... while water is heating up , get 2 towels , put one on the table [ as a heating pad ] . when water boils add 2-4 bags of chamomille tea and immideatly put on table , put face over the pot and cover head with the second towel , making a tent and not letting steam escape . breathe in steam for as long as able or as long as it lasts . do this about 3 x daily . chamomille is a natural antiseptic . and will clean out the sinuses . my husband who does not do anything .... [ he 'd rather be miserable ] has been caught doing this , because it works !!! also , if you feel so inclined , google white flower oil , or if you live in a greater city with some chinese stores , give them a call . i use this on my massage clients , but it works miracles opening up sinuses . all you do there is breathe in the vapors of this oil . if you have massage therapists in your area , i would check if you have one that does cranial work , and get your wife's neck massaged . cranial work will work exclusively on the neck and head and loosen those muscles . i think , it would do her good . if you want , try finding one who has trainaing from the upledger institute . the reason , the theeth clenching was a suspect is , because it is a sign of Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ) . massage would help that . but try finding a good cranial therapist . hope this helps gab in fl Version: 7.1.371 / Virus Database: 267.14.1/206 - Release 12/16/2005

Guest guest
Tim, My husband (Tim also) had sinus problems so bad after years of the strongest amoxicillin, they said he'd need surgery. In the meantime, due to my problems, I took ALL sugars out of our diet (plus any other foods+ that would cause yeast in the one's body to grow such as breads, juices, wine, cheese, antibiotics, stress). Once you start reading labels, you'll be amazed at all the sugars in foods--even sugar in table salt. After eating that way for about six months, I noted that my hubby never said a word about sinus problems. And my children who had a cold every month during the school year, never had a cold again! They were around 8, 4, and 2 then; are grown now (27, 23, 21); and thinking back, I can count on one hand the number of colds each had during the course of growing up. And my problem was so much better. It was like a miracle in our household. But I did add one supplement to our diet, which we took about once a week--acidophilous, the good bacteria vs. the bad bacteria (yeast). When yeast in our intestines (where it's supposed to stay) multiplies due to the sugars, etc., it goes throughout one's body and manifests as whatever the weakness is in that body, hence, sinus problems, allergies, asthma, etc., etc., etc. Get the book "Yeast Connection by Dr. Crook"; it will explain everything I just said here. Good luck! Guest guest
Hi, I would suggest that for the next two she avoids any foods that contain Tyramine, these includes: Bananas, Salami, Beer, Cheese, Wine, Yoghurt, Chocolate, Soya Sauce, Liver, Brewers Yeast, Snow Peas, Pineapple, Raisins, Broad Beans, Pickled Herring, Snow Peas. If your wife has a sensitivity to Tyramine the mucus membranes will increase their production of mucus and you end up with symptoms such as sinus and glu ear etc. It will also increase phlem production in the airways. If there is an improvement in her symptoms then you can reintroduce the items one by one and look for a reaction. You will then know which foods she is most sensitive to. Hope this helps Eliza Ball www.elizaball.com
Guest guest
I used to have terrible sinus problems (before I ever clenched my teeth) and I finally went for allergy testing. I discovered that I had some food, animal, seasonal and dust mite allergies. Once I knew what I was allergic to I worked on lessening my exposure to the allergens. It sounds like your on the right track but you may want to check on the dust mites. Once I put dust mite covers on our bedding there was a drastic improvement. Our allergist doesn't give much credit to the air purifiers. Steaming your head 3 times a day will help along with taking a lot of garlic. Anytime I feel a sinus problem starting I start taking the garlic and it stops it before I need antibiotics. Keep taking it for a while even after you think the infection is improved because it can still be in there even though you don't feel it and it will just come back. I no longer take any allergy medicine and only have occasional problems. The next thing I plan to do is eliminate the allergies altogether.
