Guest guest
My pastor fell down the stairs this morning and (a) knocked his arm out of socket and (b) tore his rotator cuff. The docs were able to get the arm back in the socket with no problem, thankfully. He will be off work at least 2 weeks and does not get paid unless he works (we have a small church and so he still has a full-time job). I do not have a local source for buying bulk herbs, and even UPS from Doc's store takes 4-5 days. What can I get for him to speed the healing of that torn rotator cuff? Thanks so much! Guest guest
Tracey, For now, you can advise him to use warm castor oil packs three or more times per day. Take a clean flannel or wash cloth, dampen it with warm water, wring it out, then pour castor oil onto it; and apply it to the shoulder. Then take another dampish cloth and and heat it in the microwave if he has one, or just use pretty hot water; and apply that over the castor oil cloth (not dripping of course). Then lay a dry towel over that to keep the heat in. Keep it on till it cools. That is a treatment I use for sprains. It's also good for treating lumpy breasts that are painful. Guest guest
Thanks so much, Debra! Pastor's wife said he's in no pain today, but they have his arm immobilized. Wednesday he goes back and they'll start some therapy on him so he'll be really sore from then on. I'll pass this on to him! Thanks again!
