Guest guest
Rob, Just an update, I'll be seing my friend w/the foot problem on Wed, when I get my hair done, so I'll be hoping to get that yummy zucchini recipe then. I'll forward it to you if she has it for me (keeping my fingers crossed). I remember your recent use of cayenne helping someone. How did you make the tincture? Guest guest
Hi Debra- Thanks I look forward to this recipe. The actual cayenne tincture I saved someone's life with I bought from Doc. But you can make one pretty easily yourself. Find the hottest, organic peppers you can get your hands on. Put them in a blender. Fill the blender with 80-100 proof vodka. Fill to about 1-2 inches below the level of the herbs. Blend it up good for a few minutes. Store in a glass container for 2 weeks. Shake daily. Then strain out and you have your very own cayenne tincture. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Roy- It makes a cayenne tincture. Cayenne is the best emergency herb out there. It provides an immediate circulation boost, stabilizes blood pressure, and can save lives in case of a heart attack, stroke, or other circulatory emergency. If you want more info just search for cayenne pepper and you will find loads of information. Hope this helps, Rob herbal remedies [herbal remedies ]On Behalf Of roy mMonday, January 09, 2006 2:51 PMherbal remedies Subject: RE: Herbal Remedies - Re:Rob im new to the group and saw your recipe. just wanted to know what was it for? thank you. roy. Guest guest
hello roy,, I am not rob---(i am colette) I will venture a guess regarding the cayenne tincture. Cayenne acts to diliate the blood vessels and will act as acarrier herb for anyother herb you need to use to enhance its effieceincy in herbals preparations. By dilatingt he blood vessels, or opening the skin pours even--the herbs that can affect the change you need will be directed quickly to the part of your body needing their active ingrediants. In preparations that combine herbs..cayeene can act as a "carrier", than another herb--depending upon the conditon, will be directed to the affected area--say--for and inflamation or pulled muscle.. cayenne will diliate the blood vessels and skin pours to direct herbs to area--arnica montana orinment (exteror) or tincture (swallowed) will act to releive the aching muscles and brusing and take down any brusing iwth the help of cayenne (which will carry the arnica) you may than chose to sooth and heal with say aloe vera in pure and drinkable form..which will sooth pains, add a mucialage to area to hold medicine to area directed to and will heal broken blood vessels while soothing the rubifactiant action that cayenne can sometime cause (in cases where you do not have a tolerance built up--the cayene can feel like an atomic bomb going off in your stomach and cause some upchucking--aloe vera will counteract that. This is one of the three herb formuale building blocks that are popular in the Dr. John Christoper formulae school of herb use. Just one thought, among many.. Genteler carrier herbs would be ginger, angelica, (which are both easy on the tummy. Guest guest
Hi Rob, I finally have that Lemon Zucchini recipe. There are no amounts, just ingredients. I guess it's really more a method than an actual recipe. Any way, this is how it was given to me. Lemon Zucchini Thinly slice your zucchini, submerge it in fresh squeezed lemon juice and refrigerate for 8 hours. Separately - On the stove, heat some olive oil (enough to coat the quantity of zucchini you sliced). Don't boil it - just heat it, then turn the heat off and add: plenty of chopped garlic Italian spices parsley and cracked pepper Let this steep until your zucchini is ready Pour your zucchini into a colander and let drain for an hour, then transfer to a dish/bowl and pour your un-strained oil over, and toss. Refrigerate until ready to serve, then chip in some fresh parmesan and fresh parsley. Tastes best at room temperature. Also, you can use this method for fish, but you have to let the fish soak in the fresh lemon juice, fully submerged, for about 12 hours. I'll be trying this recipe out tomorrow. Hope mine tastes as good as the sample I tried. It was sooo good. Let me know if you try it.
