Guest guest
This lady is very Kidney and Liver deficient do you think it would be okay? It sounds an excellent idea. I like Yan Hu Suo although I'm not sure of any anit inflammatory aspect. Any comments/experience appreciated. My strategy with previous Sjogrens eyes etc. was generally to nourish and tonify. Guest guest
If you want to learn how to treat autoimmune diseases, and understand the Chinese pathomechanisms behind them, study Li Dong-yuan's yin fire theory as developed in the Pi wei lun/Treatise on the Spleen and Stomach, translated by Bob Flaws, Blue Poppy Press, Boulder, Colo. Guest guest
My experience with autoimmune issues has been with RA and a rare one (viral congestive heart failure). With both I saw significant improvement using Kiiko's protocols for releasing the abdomen using points on the liver (blood stasis), points on the SJ for positive immune signs, etc. If you want more info check out her latest book, Clinical Strategies, vol 1 or email me offline. Hope this helps. Mike W. Guest guest
Dear Mike, I am not an acupuncturist! I know it must sound strange but I am a previous Medical herbalist (MNIMH) and still am who has qualified in Chinese medicine. I do sometimes feel ignorant on this list due to all the acupuncture comment but thank you for your reply. Lorraine.
Guest guest
Dear Z'ev, This really does sound like the answer! It's not overtly acupuncture based is it? Would I be able to use herbal strategies? Lorraine. Guest guest
This is a primarily herbal text, although it does have a few sections on acupuncture as well.
