Todd and all, I am currently attending PCOM and I was wondering if anyone could recommend to me an ortho/ chinese medicine specialist up in the Northern California area. My father lives up in Sonoma County well Santa Rosa to be exact. He has liver excess conditions that have been going on for years and has no cartilage left in his knees. He has undergone surgery for an old neck problem and still has nerve related pain from that. He is willing to try new methods at this point since western medicine has directed him to have knee replacements. Please if anyone knows of someone that could be helpful I would love to get the contact information. Unfortunately he isn't able to come down here to much for an evaluation. stephen wrote:

We conclude that ED testing is a reliable method of differentiatingbetween allergic and nonallergic substances in the context of our study.I think this conclusion is a bit strong, and of course depends on what themeaning of "is" is (heard Clinton speak in LA last week). I would havepreferred to see them say that it "can be". I would doubt that the EDtesters were inexperienced. These ED methods, like kinesiology/muscletesting, etc., are dependant on practitioner skill, health, and their focuson that particular day. However, if someone is actually good at it andknows their and its limitations, there is no other way that I know of toobtain clearer information about many potentially obvious as well as occultcause and effect relationships. That, I believe is why people turn to thesetechniques, specific cause and effect relationship information. And, itwas probably EAV rather than Vega (just a guess).StephenChinese Herbal Medicine, a voluntary organization of licensed healthcarepractitioners, matriculated students and postgraduate academics specializingin Chinese Herbal Medicine, provides a variety of professional services, including board approved online continuing education.

this may be his only option at this point. I think the surgery

(unlike neck surgery) usually goes well. Alon, what do you think?

>>>This will greatly depend on what kind of outcome he expects. If he truly has no cartilage left and has bone and synovial swelling then the only treatment that would possibly give the ability to walk unlimitedly is surgery. However knees often do not do as well as hips and complication occur more frequently. If he is willing to just have less pain and be able to walk a limited amount than there are things that can be done beyond regular acupuncture

Alon, how far is that from Hayward? My son will be playing basketball at Hayward

and may need some sports medicine.
