Guest guest
Has anyone on list received a fellowship or grant from NIH? I am considering applying and would greatly appreciate recomendations and suggestions from those who have been through the process (can email me off-list). Guest guest
A grant or fellowship would be great. Just curious if you have a doctorate degree or how close to getting one are you? I think that they most likely will require that you have one (I think that it needs to be a first professional one as well and not something that our profession currently recognizes. This could be a little problematic. Grants from the NIH or NCCAM (not NCCAOM) are not to be used to get your initial doctorate degree but can be used to get a degree (Master's I think) in research from a number of universities. They do, however, recognize the DC and ND that are offerred in accreditted universities. They also would tend to favor someone who has a doctorate degree for funding of research as well. Hope this helps. Mike W.
