Guest guest
Hi all, Taken from: http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/uknews/news20060131.shtml#5 The Daily Express is the only newspaper to report the news that herbal medicines may help to alleviate the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. The Cochrane Collaboration has reported the findings of a review of 75 trials into the effectiveness of traditional herbal medicines, saying that 'there is evidence that some of the medicines did improve the symptoms of IBS', but Professor Jianping Liu, who led the review, warned: 'many of the trials were small so it is premature to recommend herbal medicines for routine use in IBS', and that 'larger, high quality trials are needed to confirm the suggestion'. Has anyone got access to the full article version? Warm regards, Attilio D'Alberto Doctor of (Beijing, China) B.Sc. (Hons) T.C.M. M.A.T.C.M.
