Hi Marian, good to hear you are getting inspired again...

From reading Marilyn's book " Consciousness and Healing " , I do get a definite

impression that things are changing very quickly within the biomedical

profession, if for no other reason than because they have no choice. Things

are opening up a lot in recent years.

That being said, I am very mindful of the sort of loose conflation of

concepts (ie. we are talking " energy " again) epitomised by the " What the

Bleep " movie that, IMO, does not help the process at all. If you don't know

what I mean or where I am coming from, check out this bit from Ken Wilber's

Integral Naked site that talks about why physics and Dao have nothing really

to do with other <http://in.integralinstitute.org/talk.aspx?id=549>, at

least not in the way it has been popularised. The talk itself is available

via the link here (limited monthly bandwidth, if it doesn't work when you

click it has run out

already<http://members.optushome.com.au/huangdi/Ken%20Wilber%20-%20Does%20Physic\

s%20Prove%20God%20part%201.mp3>)

if you are interested.

All the best,

Lionel

Friends,

I attended a wonderful seminar last weekend at the Institute of Noetic

Sciences in Petaluma, CA. Although it was not a course for acupuncturists,

it was a very valuable experience for me as a practitioner, and well worth

their reasonable fees. In case you aren't aware of this organization, their

stated mission is: " exploring the frontiers of consciousness to advance

individual, social, and global transformation. " (www.noetic.org

<http://www.noetic.org/> ) The seminar I attended had didactic portions on

cutting edge consciousness research (with Marilyn Schlitz and Dean Radin,

who, by the way, is a 'star' in the upcoming movie by the " What the Bleep "

filmmakers) as well as more experiential and personally transformative

parts. I won't go on and on here-just to say that they have an upcoming

seminar in March that is specifically for health practitioners and I highly

recommend it! Write me off list if you'd like more details.

I want to welcome the new members (and there are about half a dozen of you) who

have

joined CHA. Let's old-timers make them feel welcome! New members might want to

look

through the years of old posts and see what has been going on.
