Guest guest
I have a 4 year old daughter as proof that the rhythm method doesn't work. :-) The fact is that a healthy young body is designed for procreation. If we choose to not have children we must create barriers against this natural tendency by barriers, hormones or surgery. For those who have had all the children they want, or choose to not have any children at all, a vasectomy or tubal ligation may be the best option in terms of long term cost, effectiveness and convenience. Anyone who has raised children knows that the Qi stagnation caused by minor surgery is nothing compared to the Qi stagnation of rising a child for 18+ years... :-) Christopher Vedeler L.Ac., C.Ht. Guest guest
My " rythm method " son is 3-1/2. :-) I was living in NYC when 9/11 happened. It threw off my wife's cycle and my son was thus conceived. I love my son more than anything- at least some good things have come out of 9/11. I'm sure there are other 9/11 babies out there. The rythm method is far too subject to these sorts of intererences to be considered reliable. I would also have to agree with Christopher's comment about Qi stagnation, although at times my son is the best and only medicine I need! Greg Chinese Medicine , " Christopher Vedeler L.Ac. Guest guest
Greg, I agree. Although my daughter wasn't planned, she is the highlight of my life, and the best medicine I've ever had. It seems that sometimes the best things in life are those that we have absolutely no plan for and just broadside us when we least expect it. Christopher Vedeler L.Ac., C.Ht. Guest guest
And on the other side of that coin, even vasectomys are not 100%. I have a 2 month old daughter thanks to a vasectomy. Good thing she is cute But my husband has a lot of stagnation and pain in the scrotum from the surgery. Julie - " Christopher Vedeler L.Ac.
