Hi Michael,

I'm sorry I TOTALLY forgot to answer this one for you!

The use of resins internally long term or in high doses (and myrrh

specifically as we are discussing here) is not recommended. Myrrh, being

a resin, is difficult for the body to eliminate, and puts stress on the

kidneys. It eventually becomes toxic to the system. Any time we put

excess toxic material in the body it is harder work and stress for the

liver to deal with.

I'd personally only use it internally when necessary. Definitely not as

a tonic!

Now, that being said, it can be used long term without the above

negative effects, in an application like a mouthwash - as long as it

isn't swallowed.

Hi Michael,

Yeah, look at it this way - just about EVERYTHING you put in your

body, has to be broken down and eventually go through the liver, this

even includes a few things you inhale too. :)
