Guest guest
Hey Michael, > My specific concern was not myrrh (I've never taken it internally) > but frankincense. I know some folks do it .. but I would ask .. effective for what? And how did you or someone else determine it was effective? I mean, did you have a problem that you successfully treated with an EO suppository? > There is a French doctor who also uses thyme, oregano, te tree, etc. > in suppositories to control infections. This is introduced into the > body in a different way and I don't know actually how or how much is > absorbed. There are many doctors who stick their heads in their asses but I'm not going to follow suit .. and many doctors are doctors without medical licenses as they have been withdrawn .. I know a couple in the USA. The doctor you are talking about is .. I believe .. Peneol (sp?) ..the one who kicked off Raindrop Therapy but not in the same manner as practiced by Dumb Living .. though he was under contract with Dumb Living for many years till he and Young had a falling out .. as Mr. Gary Young does with everyone in time. And there will be absorption for sure .. hard to say how much and which chemicals will not absorb .. but I doubt that the entire WHOLE OIL will absorb. > I would be interested to hear if anyone has experienced with this > experience with this method. I'll have to pass on that one. I can't imagine wanting to try it. A young rooster I ain't but I've not used a prescription medication or OTC medication since late 1995 .. and I haven't crammed any EO up my butt in that time either. ;-p > Your comment about internal use of resins brought up a possible > concern about using frankincense in this way. I think I'd be concerned more about sensitization and irritation where I can't scratch. > Also, the dreaded Young Living people talk about putting frankincense > in capsules. I have never taken encapsulated essential oils but have > tried the suppository method. Any thoughts on the subject would be > appreciated. > > Michael EO in capsules is not uncommon .. but I wouldn't use them that way. If I have an infection I think I can treat it a lot better by inhaling the EO and taking some (Oregano or Rosemary) in my soup .. or in Olive Oil or whatever .. and letting it run down the throat till it gets to the meat bag. What happens to the chemical components of an EO after they hit stomach acid is something else we can't answer. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
