Guest guest
I scent mine really heavy and put in a teaspoon for every four oz. of lotion or cream. But like I said, that is heavy. I'm thinking of starting to scent lighter though. I might even go with half that much. Peggy The Lowell McNaughton Soap Co. " Soap, is a lot like faith. That's pretty easy. If you want a 2% EO mix, just take 2 oz. of EO, but remember to take 2 oz. of the cream *out* first (otherwise your blend will be weaker than 2%). You'll have 98 oz cream, 2 oz EO. Ditto for a 3% blend, add 3 oz of EO, take out 3 oz of cream. I have learned through trial and error that all creams and lotions are not the same. I have bought from about 6 different suppliers and the amount of EO to base ratio is different with each one. For safety purposes I look up the % in Martin's Plant Aromatics book. But you must also try different amounts to find the amount that the cream/lotion will hold and still stay together. Too often I have used Martin's minimum and the cream/lotion still separated.
