Guest guest
Hey guys and gals, I wanted to thank, once again, all those people who sent me the craft/hobby ideas. I did go for the stained glass. I have completed my basic training in it and one project. I liked it so much that Paul went out and bought me all the equipment I need to do it at home. It is a blast. I am using a software programs called Glass Eye 2000 by Dragonfly to design my own patterns. It is pretty neat. My plan is to make my own stained glass diffusers and sell them at local craft fairs along with a choice of one essential oil or a synergy. I think that is why I choose stained glass, because it works into my aromatherapy business so well. So once I get to doing it better I will post some pics on my website as examples. The things that can be made are so neat. My daughter gave me my first grandson last December and I am going to make a mobile for his room. Now to decide what type of animals to put on it for a young person. Or maybe I should just use different shaped/color pieces of glass. What do ya'll think? Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, Glad to hear you're enjoying the new hobby. Sounds neat and fun. Your idea for making diffusers is cool. Let me know when you start making them. I'd be interested in one for myself. Carol Dragon's Pearls http://www.dragonspearls.com > I did go for the stained glass. Right now I am on my second piece. It is a nine butterflies attached together. I am making it for a friend who absolutely adores butterflies. I will gladly make one for you when I figure out the welding of the frames or find a place that sells the frames so I only have to solder my glass to them. I will let you know when I get that far along. I am still in the learning stages....doing suncatchers. They are the easiest pieces to do and then I will start on some basic diffusers. Might be interested in something like the butterfly piece or a suncatcher. One each of frogs and lady bugs for hubby's stepdaughters. I think they'd make nice Christmas gifts.
