OT: Code for email address on website

You might try, instead of an " email me " link or your addy on the site, a

graphic image with your email addy, and then make that graphic image a clickable

link to email. If you don't have photo shop or a banner/button maker I'll be

glad to make you one, will take about 2 1/2 minutes. Better than that is to

not make it a clickable link, but for some internet newbies the clickable link

is easier. If you don't make it a clickable link, your email isn't anywhere on

the site (unless you use paypal) OR in the source code, which is where most

of the bots get it from.

Making a graphic image was one of the first

things I tried and I still got a lot of spam. I

have had it a non-link where people would have to

type it into their email but that did not work

either.

 

Tried both ways for 2 months (to make sure they

got good trials) and during those two months I

also was bouncing the messages back to make them

think they had an invalid email addy.

 

So I am still looking.
