Guest guest
Hi everybody, I've just joined the list a couple of days ago and have been reading all the posts. I think its a great group and I hope that I can make a positive contribution. I am from India and I have planted Lemongrass and a hybrid variety of Citronella called Jamarosa CN5. I have also installed a Steam distillation unit at my farm and have started to distill the oils from these two varieties. I also have Palmarosa, eucalyptus and basil oils. From what I have seen of the wholesale prices in the US and Canada, I feel that I can offer my products at much better prices. I am doing some research on the costing and should have the information in a week's time. I would love to work with someone who can take up distribution of these products in the US and Canada. Any takers? I also plan to go into florals within this year and some other products that I am developing, specially bio-fertilisers and bio-pesticides. Can anyone help me with information on extraction of Rose Oil, specially the design of the Still and other equipment and technical details? Anyway, this is just meant to be an intro and I hope that I will make a load of new friends. Have a nice day and keep smiling. Azam
Guest guest
Hello Azam, Welcome to the list. Glad to have you aboard. Make yourself comfortable and at home! Its nice to live in a climate where you can grow such exotic plants. I recently have moved to the Gulf Coast, Houston area of Texas and can't wait to see what I can grow here! The possibilities are mind blowing for this gal who has never lived in a climate warmer than zone 7! Good luck with the distillation and your EO business start up. We have several folks here who are very knowledgeable about distillation and the business of getting the oils from the stills and into the hands of customers, including Dennis Archer, who has distilled some of the best Aussie oils I've ever experienced I have a little home still I am hoping to break in at some point soon, just for the fun of it I've been fortunate enough to witness Rose Otto production first hand and it is fascinating Here is a great link to check out about it ... http://www.av-at.com/distillation/rosadamascena1.html Once again, welcome, and I look forward to your participation! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com ENVIRONSINDIA [azamkhan] Hi everybody, I've just joined the list a couple of days ago and have been reading all the posts.
