Guest guest
Hi Kaldea, Welcome to the list .. I think its good to have you here. :-) I had promised myself to not make a post today .. but I can't resist commenting on this one. > Hello, > I am just joining up with you. I am taking herbology and make my > own soaps and bath salts. I prefer using herbs for healing and am > trying to get some essential oils that are no longer available on > the markets (due to the fact they can be poisonous if ingetsted) > that go in poltices that my ancestors mixed and used for healing. Just wanna say/ask one thing .. ALL known solvents and many herbs are poisonous if used to extreme or carelessly. Not sure what EO you are looking for but the LD-50 Toxicity ratings of this and that EO are fairly well known and unless one is extremely drunk odds are great they couldn't ingest enough to cause death in any case .. with a couple of exceptions .. Pennyroyal (which has a lotta bad press) is one of them. Learning why .. or .. which .. EO you are seeking that are for sure " dangerous " would be nice to know .. as would why they're considered as dangerous for a poultice .. which is applied dermally .. not ingested. > I hope to learn and maybe add to the group as I learn. I am certain that will happen .. and I look forward to your input. :-) > I also do medieval reinactment so I use my crafts in that as well... Hope > that helps! Oh yes! I am 45 and a mother of a 14 year old boy (as of > May this year that is) and have dogs, cats and a very small herb > garden which I am hoping to expand as the years go by! Good show and good luck. Glad to see new members I am. > Kaldea Morey Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
