Hi all, I have a question about something that is bugging me to death. I have a friend that bought some beef burgers ( pre-packaged) that list as one of the ingredients, zinc oxide. I know it's used as a sun block, but i never heard of it being put in a food item. This, after i spent 2 years in college for food preperation! Has anyone here ever heard of it? My chef professor has moved since i was in school, so i can't ask him. I would appreciate any information anyone has on this as a food ingredient. Yours and His, Deonia Hi Deonia It's also the active ingredient in diaper rash ointment.
