Guest guest
This is some info I saved from a post way back when, from another board. I have no idea if it works, or if this is safe to use this way...........but here it is anyway. If you try it, let me know what you think and how it workls --------- Here is the exact aromatherapy formula for cellulite treatments (and I'm not the only one who has had excellent luck with this). Do NOT put either grapefruit or juniper oils straight on your skin. Cellulite Bath Soak (increases circulation, detoxification and ridding body of excess fluids) 3 drops Cypress eo 3 drops Grapefruit eo 1 drop Juniper eo 1 drop Lavender eo Place eos in warm bath with 1 c. salt and stir well to disperse. Dry brush before bath on cellulite ridden areas. The brushing helps open the pores and gets rid of dead skin cells. It also increases circulation and increases the ability of the eos to penetrate skin. If possible, follow your soak with a cold rinse in the shower (as cold as you can stand) For additional help use the following Cellulite Scrub (feels very good...invigorating) 1 c. finely ground sea salt 1-2 Tbsp sweet almond oil 10 drops grapefruit eo 4 drops juniper eo 3 drops lavender eo 3 drops cypress eo Add the eos to the salt and mix well, stir in almond oil til well blended. Store in jar with lid. Use before or after bathing on wet skin. Rub gently in a circular motion anywhere that cellulite is a problem. I like to do this BEFORE my bath. I stand in tub and use blobs of the salt rub and let the extra fall in the tub. When I'm done scrubbing I sit in the tub and let the water fill while I sit, the salts and oils can then do double duty! Lastly, try making a cellulite lotion. BTW, these blends all cam have a pretty intense diuretic affect, so be prepared to pee a lot! I have also found that when I've gained a lot of weight and the cellulie is worse I get a rash where the cellulite is the worst...my massage therapist swears that its due to heavier detox going on in those areas...all I know is that it never appears in my cellulite free areas. 6 oz. unscented lotion that contains NO mineral oil and preferably NO animal products. I use grapeseed oil so that I don't have to deal with preservatives, etc. 1 oz. witch hazel 30 drops cypress 30 drops grapefruit 10 drops juniper 10 drops lavender Mix eos into the witch hazel and then mix into the lotion. Stir/shake well. Use once or twice per day on problem areas. I don't use the witch hazel if I'm mixing the eos in oils. ~Suzanne
