Guest guest
Hello Venkat, I also have had this problem for many many years. I have seen many doctors for this problem, allopathic, homeopathic, acupuncturists, you name it. My older 70 year old sister also suffers from this problem for 50+ years or since she was a teenager. I didn't start having this problem until I contracted Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. In Chinese medicine they believe that the sleep problems lie in the cycles of the liver and that the liver must recover in order to recover " normal " sleep. A taxed, tired, toxic liver cause the whole body system to partially shut down. I have tried dozens of things to help with my sleep over the years, including liver cleanses. I did some ayurveda for a while as well and that did not cure my problem. It is quite a complex problem according to my allopathic doctor, who happens to be Indian, here in California. Her mother suffers from this as well in India and she has not been able to help her mother. My alternative doctor also tells me the same thing, that sleep disorders are very complex. I do take St. John's wort, L. Ornithene (an amino acid) and 10 mg of Ambien to sleep at night. I have forgotten at times to take the Ambien and do not go into a deep sleep, but stay on the outside of sleep in a rather strange consciousness that is restful to the body, but not mind and is not sleep. There must be so many of us with this problem. I'd like to hear people's stories about their experiences also. I'm still looking for answers myself. Guest guest
When I reached 40 years old, I began taking sub-lingual melatonin, which helped me get better sleep. I am now 63 and still use melatonin nightly. I used to be quite constipated. I increased my dialy fiber intake and began taking vitamin C to bowel tolerance. I began to take Magnesium, 3 times a day, and I needed less vitamin C. I upped my daily fiber intake. Inulin nourishes healthy bowel bacteria, which makes for fluffier bowel movements. I now take 3 rounded teaspoons of inulin fiber daily. About 6 years ago I was diagnosed diabetic, so I had to do drastic changes to my diet to eliminate most carbs. I also stopped coffee and caffeinated soda. Much of my constipation greatly decreased. I still take vitamin c, but much less than the 30 or more grams I used to need to get free-flowing bowel movements. I now take only about 5 grams a day. No idea if any of this would help you, but it sure works for me. I suppose you've probably tried melatonin. Can you get tryptophan where you are? That sometimes is helpful in turning off the brain. Sometimes that mind working overtime at night problem, I think can be helped by good exercise during the day, calming music and other quiet activities before and at bedtime, and so on. Probably you've done these things, but I thought I'd mention them. Myself, I use traditional medicine for mood disorder, as the mind running overtime can be a symptom of that. I hope you find what you need. Mary Jo
Guest guest
Maybe there are too many toxic chemicals in your mattress and bedding. I kid you not. I have chemical sensitivities. Have you tried sleeping elsewhere and do you sleep better on a different mattress?

He knows my case history. He treated me with some medicines for some time. On one of the visits, he told , drink as much water as possible, leaving some space in the stomach for easy breathing. That will solve all your problems. It worked. I went to him a month later and told that I am cured. Water is the best cure, he said. It removes extra alkalines, acids, salts .... and keeps the liver intact. One thing he adviced ( I am a vegetarian ) - dont take fried eatables from outside the house. If you want prepare them in your house; after taking take two glasses of tolerable-hot warm water. Nothing would happen. Till this day, I am getting good sleep. No constipation, no head-ache. Water is the real medicine; why dont you try it? > Hello Venkat, > > I also have had this problem for many many years.
