Guest guest
Hi, Was looking for some suggestions of what to buy- My allergies are so bad this winter and now I have to see the Ear Nose and Throat doctor. My ear has scarring now, I wondering if it's from what they call glue ear or chronic secretory otitis media from being congested all the time. I'm reading a book which has some good info but not the author is not convinced of alternative therapies- called Hay Fever.... by Jonathan Brostoff and Linda Gamlin- It has a listing of bed covers in the back which are both breathable and tightly woven enough to prevent dust mites from getting through- does anyone have any of these and what are your opinions? Do you have to buy a new bed first? Wondertex by GSI Pristine by Precision Fabrics Group Medibed by The Breathing Company Softek av from National Allergy Supply Microfiber from Priorities Thanks for any info on mattress covers or treating allergies/sinus/ear problems. I was doing peroxide every night but I have to get to the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms. Dianne
Guest guest
I got scarring in my ear from using penicillin eardrops which was the antibiotic they gave me for an ear infection. I had a reaction to it.
Guest guest
By 1998, my allergies were just about to kill me. A few times since then I've nearly gone into shock over a few things, but have learned so much. I was well into investigating this dust-free mite-free lifestyle back in 98 at the urging of my then ENT Dr. The realization that this sterility of living was impossible to afford and keep up was one of the things that drove me to search for alternatives. We did get to the point of washing bedding often and thoroughly and vaccuming religiously and having an air filter in the bedroom, but all that is out the window now, thank goodness. Of course I'm not going to reveal just how slack we really are about cleaning the bedroom these days, but just this- the way we live in our bedroom now would have hospitalized me ten years ago. Allergies start in the gut. Candida perforates our intestines and proteins that were not meant to pass do pass through the intestinal wall and they cause allergies. Then external irritants make them worse (I still must avoid ragweed). I can't publish a tome here about it all, but you are barking up the wrong tree. I strongly urge you to start learning everything you can about the true causes of allergies- candida and gut dysbiosis. I found enormous relief from two things: Colostrum, and the avoidance of all things corn. I have recently learned the corn thing all over again and had to restrict it even more.
