Lots of great info on it. I know it has grown in popularity. My colds are also so much easier with my neti pot. I got mine at my local Whole Foods store, but I have seen them sold at Walgreens. Guest guest
Do you have a mattress and pillow cover? It could be an allergy to dust mites. Get rid of the carpet in your bedroom- we have gotten rid of all the carpet upstairs- they are hives of mold and mites activity. Today I am washing the walls of the bedroom with tea tree oil and water to kill mold spores- apparently they are very bad in winter acoording to the book I am reading Hay Fever by Brostoff. Guest guest
I'd start with getting rid of anything you could be allergic to in or on the bed or nearby--I got rid of feather pillows and down comforter. I keep the place well dusted and vacuumed most of the time and bed sheets washed in HOT because allergenic substances survive with cold water wash. I use natural soaps to wash, no commercial toxic detergents. Those are the biggest factors that have helped me with congestion. Someone suggested a neti pot which works to help with congestion and there are other irrigation systems that work too. I use one that has a little packet of salt added to the water and you irrigate your nose with the water with salt similar to using a neti pot. All water should be distilled or boiled and cooled with sodium added (just a little)I I take several grams of Vit. C before bed too. Those help with allergies too.
