Guest guest Posted March 25, 2008 Report Share Posted March 25, 2008 If you are talking about the piece of skin the attaches from the bottom of the tongue to the upper gum on the lower teeth. Both my son and my brother had to have these clipped at birth. Otherwise they would have been speech affected (try to talk without moving your tongue to the upper part of your mouth) Both my brother and my son had to have speech lessens to help with lisps etc. They are both fine.
