Guest guest
We have until the end of the day today to try to stop the Bush administration from weakening labeling standards. _Can you help us protect the standards behind these labels?_ (http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2 & c=3L9It+xokDSbx89U+AIRkHPH\ eu18TBof) You're probably familiar with meat and poultry labels like " raised without antibiotics, " " vegetarian diet, " and " free range. " These labels become more and more important as consumers try to buy the safest foods for their families. Unfortunately there isn't currently a fixed set of standards used to judge whether claims are accurate and should be allowed. This has resulted in controversy about the accuracy of some claims and even led to a lawsuit over " antibiotic-free " claims that were made for poultry not raised entirely without antibiotics. Tell the United State Department of Agriculture that consumers need strong standards for what claims companies can make about how animals are raised. _Take action._ (http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2 & c=HrCz1j0YCM7I++jpr4mvvnPH\ eu18TBof) (http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2 & c=z4urnK/aM7lT3A9jgIYea3PH\ eu18TBof) Sincerely, Sarah Alexander, Senior Food Organizer Food & Water Watch **************Get the Moviefone Toolbar.
