Guest guest
I have a medical condition that the doctors said is bad with my hip but the good news is they don't know anything about natural medicine and natural cures. I have changed my diet and read tons of information about natural ways to improve joint health and am doing a lot better but I still have a ways to go. I was wondering if anyone could please tell me a high quality manufacturer of glucosamine that you know of. I then will try to get it by the pound. I also would like to know of anything else that you think might be helpful in cartilage repair and regeneration. I believe I have found an excellent brand of MSM called Lignasol that you can get by the pound at: http://www.msm-msm.com/ but their glucosamine comes from China and I don't know anything about it. I have attached a good article on the differences between glucosamine sulfate and hydrochloride that I thought someone might like and thanks for taking time to read my question! Here is also a good link to the differences between glucosamine hydrochloride and sulfate in case anyone is interested: http://www.rmbarry.com/research/glucosamine.html Thanks! Guest guest
MSM by the pound or kilo (as I buy it) is fine and I often take as much as a 1/2 cup/day if I feel a joint issue coming on. The brand of MSM is generally not that important, however. Glucosamine, on the other hand, is a good supplement in small quantities. If you try taking very much of it, you will have digestive issues. Instead of taking more of it, take Microlactin which works in consort with MSM and glucosamine... then you will not feel the need for more glucosamine. Glucosamine Sulfate is the preferred form. Guest guest
I need a good source of Glucosamine also. I've read that sulfate is what all the testing was done with in Europe and that's why it's advertised as being suprerior to Hydrocloride but other studies have shown them to be equil or that hydrocloride is actually better and that sulfate has a much higher sodium content. I still don't know the best source and would like to, just reporting what I've read and can e-mail the source if anyone wants it. Who ever posted, can you please tell me where you've gotten your information on Microlactin? It sounds interesting. Also, I've found MSM, glucosamine and other interesting joint suppliments like deer antler on e-bay very inexpensive, by the pound that I'm interested in. The seller is: web8087 in case anyone is interested, she also has things like inexpensive stevia by the pound...etc...
Guest guest
Lowering inflamation in your body is very important when you have joint pain. Antioxidants are great, I use a liquid called super orac 7 that really helps me (I have very bad knees). Other things that help (for me) are avoiding dairy and animal proteins. Eating fresh fruits and veggies especially berries (blue berries are great). I also avoid sugar since it promotes inflamation. Absolutely no artificial sweetners either). I was told about 5 years ago I had a knee that needed replacement. I opted to not have surgery and to do natural therapies like exercises, glucosmine/chondroiton, diet, and acupuncture. Guest guest
Hi Dave: One of the reasons that I have been a big fan of Swanson Vitamins is that they have done some of our homework for us and it seems to be unbiased for the most part. At one point, at least, that had a specialist report on Microlactin. What he reported seemed to check out. One of their advisory board members is Dr. Mercola whom I have come to respect. As to the Glucosamine Hydrochloride vs. Sulfate... I had a very informed online friend tell me that the former was not the way to go. I never asked him why, but maybe someone here can shed some light on it. I am guessing that it has to do with the Chloride component. Kind Regards, Jim
Guest guest
Thanks Jim, I will look into Swanson glucosamine sulfate and bone broth. A friend who I recently met said he was dying, down to sixty pounds and the doctors had given up. He started eating raw milk, butter, cheese, honey juicing celery, carrots, celontro... all out of the book: " The Recipe For Living Without Disease " and he healed himself. He suggested i do the same for joint problems and I am. I'll post how it goes... Surprisingly thinly sliced bison smothered with cheese, honey and butter is pretty darn good.
