Guest guest
TY I am so sorry! Sounds very uncomfortable. I was having a somewhat similar problem not long ago. I was getting frequent irritation and itchy. I used a simple test I got at walmart to make sure it wasn't reoccurring yeast infections. I figured out one problem: I was taking a lot of bubble baths and some baths with epsiom salts for sore muscules, I think this was causeing some of the irretation. You might re-evaluate your detergents, soaps, ect. I also switched to ONLY breathable cotton underwear. Also I stopped using chemical laiden tampons and disposable pads. I almost always had terrible irritation and itching during my period. I now use organic cotton reusable/wasiable pads. I purchased mine from WAHM on ebay...There are TONS of online stores and even info on sewing your own. Also douching can be helpful but as we all know douching to frequently is not healthy. I found a few recomended douches and vaginal pack in my " Healthy Healing " book. I would be happy to share them with you if you would like. Also, I incorperate more yougurt and cultured foods like kefir to my diet...that also made a BIG difference. I also try to drink cranberry juice frequently. I have found it helps with yeast infectons and UTI's which for me go hand-in-hand. These are just some of the things that really helped me. I suggest letting your midwife know about it. (Or your Holistic Health Practioner or Doctor) Hope this Helps! Guest guest
I never tried this personally, but I was always advised to use plain yogurt because the live cultures in it would help fight the infection. I hope this helps. , " seashelll30 " <seashelll30 wrote: > > Could this be a yeast problem? I know what a yeast infection is, and it is not that bad, it comes and goes, but especially during a BM, intense itching all around that area. I have had this for over 2 years now. I have used some tea tree oil, diluted to the area with some relief, it temp. stops it. > Ideas please! > TY >
Guest guest
Hi, Yes it could be yeast infection (aka candida albicans). This means you have an imbalance of the bacterial flora in your gut... One way to learn what the balance of bacteria/yeast in your bowels is to have a CDSA (Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis) I believe these people can offer this to you in the US: http://www.genovadiagnostics.com/ If you do have a candida infection you will want to fight it with a combination of diet, herbal and probiotic measures. The links on this post may help: http://health./message/52188 Hope that helps, Sharon
Guest guest
Itching in the groin area, and in between toes is almost always a fungal (ie, yeast) issue. The obvious answer is to take antifungals. Some suggestions are topical iodine (5% or better), and the following tataken internally: burdock root black walnut hulls oregano oil wild cherry bark pau d'arco lemongrass barberry tumeric (contains curcumin) The above antifungals are being used by my wife and myself with great success. If you can take Lugol's 5% iodine internally at 2 drops a day for a month, and have no itching, you will then be fungus-free. If you start itching, stop taking the Lugol's immediately and take basil internally to stop the itching. Return to taking the Lugol's when the itching subsides. Be patient - this process takes months. My wife and I have been at it for about 6 months now, and we are about 90% fungus free at this point. I am 59 and my wife is a young 55. Guest guest
MAKE SURE TO TAKE SOME PROBIOTICS, EVEN IF JUST ACIDOPHOLUS, WHILE YOU TRY ANY MEDS FOR YEAST...VERY IMPORTANT TO PREVENT REOCCURANCE...GET QUALITY ONES FROM A HEALTH FOOD STORE...GOOD LUCK, lORI , " Lynn Koiner " <koiner wrote: My gynecologist says that the yeast preparations from the drug store work just as well as the expensive prescription preparations. > To precent yeast and eliminate bacterial infections, douche with vinegar and water. Guest guest
I have had this problem. Was told many things. In April I was finally diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. There is a blood test to look for the cancer that and a pelvic is the only way to find it. My pap smears all came out normal, still do. Mine is stage 4, go to the doctor. Now. Guest guest
OMG I NEVER thought I'd be telling anyone this but I have the same problem and I know your pain! I went on the Atkins diet, which is meat and veggies only, no grains, and it stopped after a couple of days. Everytime I eat any grains it happens again. I found that using Carmex on the area stops the itching for a long while. I don't remember why I first tried it, I must have been desperate but it works!
