Guest guest
Hello Michele,How does the baby take breast milk or rice milk. I ask that because the breast milk should be the easiest type of food for the baby to digest. If for any reason your baby cannot be breast-fed, then rice milk is the next less intrusive type of food for young babies. I have had a sick baby and breast milk was the only thing he was able to digest. I hope this helps. I have a 3 year old who had a stroke at 9 days of age with no known etiology. She has problems from the stroke 1st being cerebral palsy, she is legally blind, seizure disorder, fed via gtube, microcephaly, severely & globally developmentally delayed. She is about a 5 month old. Non-verbal, non-ambulatory. Her only real means of communication is to cry to let us know something is wrong. She has reflux and had a nissen fundoplication but that has come undone. I would like to solve the problem without any more surgeries. She has gastritis too so basically this kid is in pain all the time and cries all the time. The G.I. Doc says we are allready treating this the only way that we can. She had endoscopy and biopsies done a week ago and all is normal except redness/inflamation in the stomach. I took her off canned formula 5.5 wks ago and started her on a blended diet of real food, fruits, veggies, protein etc. I truly believe this HAS to be better for her than a can of formula. Since this new diet, the vomiting is non existent but the irritability is still. I need help. I need alternatives to try. She needs relief. it's terrible to see and hear her hurting and there is nothing I can do. SUGGESTIONS? Thanks, Michele
