Root Canal !!! Alternative way to heal a tooth and/or a gum infection?

Hi,

My dentist says that I have a tooth infection/abcess

(osteomyelitis), and that I need a root canal. :-(

I'm wondering if there is some type of alternative way to heal a

tooth and/or a gum infection. An herbal poultice for example.

I think that there is some evidence that the infection/abcess is

actually a gum abcess and not osteomyelitis.

I've had the problem for years, and the tooth is alive and well.

The tooth senses hot, and cold, etc. The tooth is not dead, and does

not appear to be dying.

At first (years ago) my dentist somewhat regretfully said, that I

could also have an extraction if I decided against a root canal, but

now he firmly insists that he will only do a root canal.

Regards, Steve

I knwo what would give me some relief when I was have your problem is I would put cyenne tincture on and around the tooth on the gums and that helped alot. I unfortunatly had a root canal, I did not know what else to do my tooth was cracked.
