Guest guest
Hi, My dentist says that I have a tooth infection/abcess (osteomyelitis), and that I need a root canal. :-( I'm wondering if there is some type of alternative way to heal a tooth and/or a gum infection. An herbal poultice for example. I think that there is some evidence that the infection/abcess is actually a gum abcess and not osteomyelitis. I've had the problem for years, and the tooth is alive and well. The tooth senses hot, and cold, etc. The tooth is not dead, and does not appear to be dying. At first (years ago) my dentist somewhat regretfully said, that I could also have an extraction if I decided against a root canal, but now he firmly insists that he will only do a root canal.
