Guest guest
Two brains are better than one. And a whole list of brains.... I am: 28 yrs old homeschool my 4 kids- 11,6,twin 2 quit smoking (the last time) 3 yrs ago still nursing the twins on demand (alopathic doctor called it 'chronic breastfeeding' heehee) I have fatty deposits on my spine-below neck,upper- shoulders area-.just been calling it "my hunchback" . MD says "nothing to worry about" may be from low thyroid function- awaiting blood work on that one. I am on no regular medications, and I don't relish the idea of starting..so.. either way, any thoughts? I am VERY malnourished. birthing 4 ,and still nursing 2 has left me depleted. I decided to go back on the prenatals. I understand that getting nutrients from once live sources are ideal, but I figured what the hell, I'll do that too. Diapers, school supplies and regular daily living has made trail and error too expensive; I think I'll just learn from your mistakes instead, thank you. so, please share with me your favorite "Super foods" and tonics. I'm aslo fat. I quit smoking when I got pregnant with the twins, then went on bed rest..... I'd never paid much attention to the weight loss hype, cause I'd never been fat before. 200 lbs+ now.(eee gad!). suppliments for weight loss are tricky, cause I'm nursing, so what's safe? excersize is...well...I USED to enjoy it, but now, i'm plain exhausted ALL THE TIME!! maybe a controlled fast? maybe I should wait till their done nursing? or till I've raised my Vit/ Min levels? What do you think? I've been trying to research and decide what to on my own, I've been crawling through "The Chemistry of man" by Bernard Jensen, and "Prescription for Nutritional healing" -Balch. Unfortunately, the exhaustion isn't merely physically tired. My brain is a bowl of mush! I cant concentrate and after I've finished a chapter, find I don't remember any of the details of what it was about. anyway. So, back to picking your brains instead. Guest guest
Isabellauren, Bless your heart! I would not do any cleaning until you are done nursing, period. Hmmm, we have lots of twins in my family, they called it tandom nursing. LOL You could probably juice and the effort you put forth to do that would pay off triple fold. " Chew " the juice before swallowing for proper digestion. Dark leafy greens, apples and carrots. Drink 1/4 cup green juice a day diluted with either other veggies or water. The babies would probably like carrot juice diluted at first. Kids love to juice, they pick out what they want in theirs. You can find juicers at the second hand stores or garage sales. I find them every time I go. I pick them up for people who may need them one day. It gives them a general idea of what they like or dislike about juicers and what not to or to buy down the road. There are plenty of juicing books/sites out there to help with food combining and recipes for juicing. Sprouts are easy to grow and nummy on salads, I juice those too. Coconut oil helps a ton with energy. Replace the oils you cook with, with it instead. Even if you bake, you can replace 1/2 of the butter. When you do that however, you decrease the total oil by 1/4 cup. So one cup would then reduce to 3/4 cup, half of that would be coconut oil. The cheapest place I know to get that is through azurestandard.com . It's 24.00 a gallon and about 8 for shipping. Wilderness is the name brand and it says it is refined, but it isn't, it also doesn't have the coconut taste which is why I use that one. It still contains amino acids. Coconut oil is alkaline and isn't recognized as fat, and therefor isn't stored by the body as fat. It's recognized as a protien so is burned off. It sustains high heat so you can fry in it as well. There are recipes online for the coconut oil diet that will help you with ways to incorporate it into your diet at first. It does do a little " cleaning " of the bowels the first few days. The third thing I can share is the molasses toddy in the morning instead of coffee. 2 teaspoons of organic black strap molasses, 2 teaspoons of raw honey and 2 teaspoons of raw apple cider vinegar in a cup of warm water. This is not a burst of energy like the coconut oil, but an endurance for the day. Try it, you will like it. Rebounding excersize (on a mini trampoline) is the best. It absorbs the shock, flushes the lymphatic system, and provides much energy. Your feet do not even have to leave the mat. I find those too at garage sales and the second hand store for 5 dollars. The lower priced ones are getting harder to find though, even in retain stores. Every cell in your body improves with this type of excersize unlike any other. It is going from 1-2 gravity, and is the quickest way to get back into shape equal to swimming. Some prefer the out doors, move it out there. I have one in my living room and one out side. Before I had one, I sat one my bed and bounced. (just what you want to teach the kids) The important thing to remember about rebounding, is it ISN'T the amount of time you spend on one at one time, but how often in the day you get on it and get a 2 minute bounce. Before bed is a bad idea, you will be energized and not able to sleep. It doesn't feel like you are getting much of a work out, so against my warnings not to, many people got one and jumped for a half hour. I remember even my cousin the foot ball player, who thought he could handle it. He couldn't move for three days. Before meals is a good idea, it curbs the appetite. The book The Miracles of Rebounding Excersize by Al Carter may help shed some light on the possibilities you can acheive. Once you read the book you will understand what I mean when I say it may come in handy for homeschooling. What you don't want to do is fight fire with fire. Coffee and sugar will only seem to help till you come down from them. The more of them you use the more you will need and then find yourself waking up tired. No, you fight fire with water! Another thing that makes people feel so tired, is an inadequate amount of water. That can make you feel very tired. Filtered water, not city tap. When your body has to seperate water from the tea, it doesn't count towards your 8-8oz glasses. Add fresh organic lemon to your water. Your liver will like that, and it's alkaline. I am not out of idea's, just time.....
