Guest guest
When you say " pepper " , are you talking about a pepper EO? Do you have a specific Latin name for it? This sounds really good...now if I can only find the coQ10 in liquid form...or do you share sources? Guest guest
Sorry, cayenne pepper is what I meant. I love cayenne pepper and we use it on our food instead of black pepper, so I have gotten into the habit of calling it red pepper. People here have to be aware of which pepper I am passing. :0 I just ordered some coQ10 from NOW, the vegetarian V. It's where Doc recommends getting it here in the files. There was less added to that brand, and specifically that one, than any other I could find and I looked almost all day. I wish Doc sold it. So NOW doesn't sell it in liquid form, just gel caps. Liquid is available out there, but I wondered how much of their product was really coQ10. Probably just enough to be able to legally list it as an ingredient. Don't want to get the dry powdered capsules either. Even more filler and the fillers will not mix with the coconut oil. The ratio I knew was 2 ounces of coconut oil with 10, 30mg capsules to make skin butter, but you could alter that. Coconut oil solidifies at, what is it, 76 degree's or somewhere close to that. So, at that ratio it would be a fairly pretty yellow solid butter, and of course you melt coconut oil in a container that is setting in warm water. I am going to add cayenne, and emu this time as well. To a portion of my next batch I am going to add a smidge of the tamanu oil, as Lori suggested, and put it aside for special uses. I don't know what Lori's ratio is or where she gets her tamanu oil from yet. fft > This sounds really good...now if I can only find the coQ10 in liquid > form...or do you share sources? > > Jeanne > > >Message: 8 > > Wed, 25 Jan 2006 18:19:44 -0000 > > " food4tot " <food4tot> > >great skin cream/lotion > > > >coQ10 and coconut oil are a great team for the skin, finding coQ10 in > >liquid form, this in and of itself is a great combo, plus a bit of > >Emu, pepper and DMSO and a few herbs...hmmmm Sounding yummy! > >fft >
