Guest guest
Hi all, I'm about to embarrass myself, but they say embarrassment builds character...right? Right?? I made the tooth and gum tinctures and was mixing all the ingredients together as per the recipe. I got to the oak gall or 3x oak bark tincture...I was using oak bark since I couldn't find oak gall...sooo according to the recipe it says to put in 6 oz. (3 x) of oak bark tincture. I grab the jar of tincture and pour in 6 oz. I then read to add 2 Tbs. cayenne tincture...I grab the next jar in line and happen to glance at the label... " Oak Bark Tincture " wtf??? I look down at the jar I " thought " was the oak bark and it reads Cayenne Tincture...I just put in 6 OUNCES of very, very, very HOT cayenne tincture into my tooth & gum!!! So I'm standing there thinking what the heck do I do now? I don't want to waste it so I go ahead and add the rest of the ingredients. I used it, according to directions as a gargle and unfortunately you DO have to rinse after using this...several times! Now, my question for Doc & others...can I use this or should I make another batch...I mean all that cayenne won't hurt me will it? Other than setting my mouth on fire...<grin> love, Stevie
Guest guest
You can always increase the other ingredients in ratio to the cayenne you put in (like if it called for 1 T cayenne and 2 T oak bark and instead you put in 2 T cayenne and 1 T oak bark, then you'd increase the oak bark to 4 T)... it will make a larger batch, but... 2T is quite a difference from 6 oz! lol Good luck! Guest guest
hi, i guess i'll be a putz, too!!! i have a loose tooth and would like to know if the tooth and gum mixture will help. some years ago, i started taking the rx cardizem and my gums swelled and my tooth began to slip down. the doctors refused to believe that the medicine could cause this, but i found information in the very fine print on the medicine's disclosure statement that said one of the side effects could be swollen gums. i am afraid of dentists because of a couple of horrible experiences, so i've been watching my tooth slowly slip from my gums. any help would be greatly appreciated. gloria Mail Use Photomail to share photos without annoying attachments. Guest guest
Gloria - You might want to try Dentizyme - many people have their gums tighten up around their loose teeth after using this product. Guest guest
Hi Gloria, I've found that taking 1/2 ts baking soda and 1 ts Vit C powder daily (dissolved in water) has really helped strengthen my teeth in my gums. I've forgotten the name of the dentist that recommends this... -Raine gloria smith wrote: hi, i guess i'll be a putz, too!!! i have a loose tooth and would like to know if the tooth and gum mixture will help. some years ago, i started taking the rx cardizem and my gums swelled and my tooth began to slip down. the doctors refused to believe that the medicine could cause this, but i found information in the very fine print on the medicine's disclosure statement that said one of the side effects could be swollen gums. i am afraid of dentists because of a couple of horrible experiences, so i've been watching my tooth slowly slip from my gums. -- Swap Your Paperback Books - PaperBackSwap.com
