Hey all...

I cant remember who posted the cabbage juice recipe (maybe Doc)for

promoting the good flora back into the gut... but i need to know if

it " cooks " for the 3 days covered or uncovered. I have had " Severe "

gastro-intestinal razorblades due to sickness for 3 days and need the

good stuff. Everything I eat and drink is going right thru me, nothing

seems to be helping. I never get sick so i dont know what has hit me.

Anyone that can help please advise as it is sitting in the blender now.

Blessings..

Try grating a fresh apple and let it sit on the counter until it gets very brown. It will stop the diarrhea. You are talking about cabbage rejevenac.

Here is the recipe from candidasupport

Cabbage Rejuvelac Recipe

Cabbage is a vegetable that is teeming with lactobacteria. No starter is needed for making this rejuvelac.

Start one morning by blending together 1-3/4 cups distilled or purified water plus 3 cups of coarsely chopped, loosely packed fresh cabbage. Start the blender at low speed and then advance the blender to high speed and blend for 30 more seconds.

Pour into a jar (a quart jar is excellent to use), cover tightly (ensure there is at least 1 inch of space above the mixture), and let it stand at room temperature for 3 days.

After 3 days strain off the liquid rejuvelac and discard the cabbage. The initial batch of cabbage rejuvelac takes 3 days to mature, but succeeding batches take 24 hours each.

Each morning after straining off the fresh rejuvelac, blend together 1-1/2 cups of distilled or purified water plus 3 cups of coarsely ground, loosely packed fresh cabbage, for 30 seconds at high speed.

Pour it into a jar and add 1/4 cup of the fresh rejuvelac just strained off, cover, shake, and let it stand at room temperature until the next morning.

Making Cabbage Rejuvelac without a Blender:

Cabbage rejuvelac can also be made without using a blender.

Chop up 2-1/2 cups of cabbage very fine (replacing the 3 cups in the recipe above), with the same amount of water (1-3/4 cups).

Good quality rejuvelac tastes similar to a cross between carbonated water and the whey obtained when making yogurt. Bad quality rejuvelac has a much more putrid odour and taste and should not be consumed.

Avoid using tap water because chlorine will interfere with the production of the bacteria. Boiling tap water for 30 minutes uncovered will remove chlorine.

Refrigerate rejuvelac if it is to be kept overnight. Discard any rejuvelac on hand 24 hours after it is poured off the cabbage.

How to Take Rejuvelac

Drink each day's rejuvelac during the course of the day by taking 1/2 cup three times per day, preferably with meals.

To implant a healthy population of lactobacteria in the intestinal tract take rejuvelac for 1 to 3 months.

People who have candida are very sensitive to yeast so it is recommended they make a new batch every time, but they could start 3 jars 3 days in a row so they do not run out.

Hello Spot

I saved this in my files - Here you go..

--Cultured Cabbage Juice Cut up and put one whole cabbage in blender. Fill

with water, and blend. Put in glass jar and cover with saran wrap and rubber

band Put in closet for 3 days Strain and drink 3-4 cups a day This drink

will heal an inflamed colon. colonize friendly bacteria , (which

anti-biotics kill along with the bad guys, leaving room for the bad guys to

return.) and help the colon produce b vitamins. The results are usually

noticable immediately. This is an excellent remedy and awesome at replacing

friendly bacteria (much better, and cheaper than buying acidophilus at the

store as it literally creates trillions of the good guys ;o) Much love, Ian

I am wondering if this is generally helpful or harmful to Crohn's disease patients?

I would like my husband to try this but he'll balk at the taste. I wonder if it would affect it any if it were mixed with a fruit juice when taken ?

Hi Susan!

I would think that the friendly nature of Cabbage Juice re-populating the gut

would help Chron's disease sufferers.

I had taken Prilosec for several years for GERD and it started backfiring on me.

I quit taking Prilosec (which by the way no stomach acid reducer should not be

taken for more than two weeks at a time) started taking 4 tablespoons of Doc's

PP (Panther Piss) morning and night along with a few cups of cabbage juice

during the day and today I only have to take a teaspoon of baking soda in a

glass of warm water to settle any heartburn from too much spicy foods. IE:

lasagne or any other highly acidic tomato sauce.

Today I only take two teaspoons of PP morning and night.

Taking acidolphilus became too expensive and the cabbage juice worked much

better probably because the acidolphilus was partially dead from processing.

I made my own Cabbage Juice by shredding a whole large cabbage head and putting

it in a five gallon plastic bucket filled with untreated well water(best to use

distilled water). I let it set for 21 days in a dark closet with plastic wrap

over the top. The dark stuff I skimmed off and the sauer kraut was excellent

after adding some Real salt to taste. I froze a large portion for future use.
