Guest guest
I am currently doing a cleanse called " FirstCleanse " in a series called CleanseSmart (Made by 'RenewLife'), which consists of a series of organic capsules for 2 weeks (2 different formulas, two of #1 in the am and 2 of #2 before bed) while also being on a strict diet and exercise plan. It's supposed to be one in a series of 4, for total cleansing... but the local health food store suggested I start with this one and do the whole series due to my recurring kidney problems (I'm now wishing I had found this board before I got it...). It was affordable, so I gave it a shot. I since found this board, but figured I should still try to give it a chance to work... The first 2 days or so, it seemed like nothing was really going on, other than a slight gurgling from my digestive system. This has since ceased, but for two days now I get a fever in the evening, about half way through my day. My face gets really flushed and hot and I feel kind of drained; last night I also had a killer headache, though tonight I just have the high temp, no major headache. I am also borderline constipated, even though the majority of what I ingest throughout the day is juiced lemons and a small meal of some sort, like wild rice and a salad or veggie broth or something. No discomfort, I'm just not going! Is this normal? I did a fast once before, but it didn't make me fever, I just suffered through a tolerable headache the first couple days, and I had " mad crazy " bowel activity for the entire first 2 days as well! The headache and fever got so bad last night that I broke down (I know I shouldn't have) and took two asprin, which helped but made me feel terribly guilty for taking them. I'm hoping all this is just because the cleanse is doing what it's supposed to do, but I thought I'd ask, just in case. Am I still safe? Is this what should be happening? And is there anything I can do to ease the fever or should I just stick it out? Any advice would be appreciated... Love to All, ~Raaven
Guest guest
Hi Raaven, Doc's Cleanse includes various tinctures which prevent/reduce you going into major healing crisis, which sounds like you're having. I would at least take the Total Tonic and Echinacea while doing the cleanse you're in. This will catch any toxins being released. What part of the cleanse are you doing? If it's an intestinal cleanse, it sounds strange that you're constipated now! I would check out the cleanse regimen you're doing with wherever you got it from. love Lisa de Haas Senior Moderator - " E J Lanier " <raavenart <herbal remedies > Thursday, April 13, 2006 4:24 AM Herbal Remedies - Cleanse question... >I am currently doing a cleanse called " FirstCleanse " in a series > called CleanseSmart (Made by 'RenewLife'), which consists of a series > of organic capsules for 2 weeks (2 different formulas, two of #1 in > the am and 2 of #2 before bed) while also being on a strict diet and > exercise plan. Guest guest
If your taking something to kill parasites, this will cause a headache. The reason behind it is that when the parasites die they put off some ammonia that is what causes the headache. Clay. Messenger with Voice. PC-to-Phone calls for ridiculously low rates. Guest guest
Thanks, Lisa I'll look into the Total Tonic with Echenacea and see if it's something I can do now, or if I'll have to wait (financially). The following is a quote of what the product says on it's packaging:"First Cleanse is a gentle two-part cleanse formulated for first time cleansers. The herbs in this cleanse support and stimulate the functions of the 7 channels of elimination (liver, lungs, lymphatic system, kidneys, skin, blood and bowel). First Cleanse #1 Morning Formula contains herbs traditionally used to stimulate the body's natural detoxification process. First Cleanse #2 Evening Formula contains herbs to stimulate the bowel to support it's natural cleansing function. First Cleanse is designed to be taken for 2 weeks to prepare the body for a deeper cleanse with CleanseSMART Advanced Cleanse."I am still constipated... and am also still feverish. But it's always around the same time of day for just a couple hours. I'm really bummin' that about this product at least so far... Should I stop using it and wait til I can do something else? This not being able to "go" is really confusing me... I was not constipated at all BEFORE I started the cleanse...Thanks for the advice...~Raaven"Lisa de Haas@Wanadoo" <lisa wrote: Hi Raaven, I would at least take the Total Tonic and Echinacea while doing the cleanse you're in. Guest guest
Hi Raaven, I can only say what I would do if I were you, and I'd stop that cleanse. Doesn't sound right to me. love Lisa - Emily Joy Lanier herbal remedies Thursday, April 13, 2006 9:15 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - Cleanse question...
