Guest guest
Yes vinegar works great instead of alcohol. Have him cut way back on salt cause salt causes high blood pressure. Guest guest
If you make it in tincture form, just put the drops in hot water first and the alcohol will evaporate. Guest guest
Hello Begum - you can try making a vinegar tincture, but personally, I much prefer to take it in capsules. James Green describes a herbal vinegar making process in his " The Herbal Medicine Makers Handbook " Vinegar Infusion: 1. Reduce the dried herb to a moderately course poweder. 2. Combime with pure undiluted vinegar. 3. Macerate for 10 to 14 days, shaking the mixture frequently. 4. Strain, pour into sterilized bottles, and cap. Great book, I highly recommend it. He prefers apple cider vinegar and also provides recipes for syrups and oxymels, which is a vinegar based syrup. all the best - Lola B. herbal remedies , " Begum Ibrahim " <begumibrahim wrote: > > dear all > > I have learn't a lot from your posts but I do feel hardly anyone > responds my questions. > > A relative is suffering from high BP and I would like to make he > cayenne ticture for him but he can't take vodka or any alchohol...will > apple cider vinegar or distilled white vinegar be a good substitute.? >
Guest guest
You can still make it with vodka. All you do is put the drops in a hot beverage of choice and allow the alcohol to evaporate. You are still left with the benefits of the cayenne. Hope this helps.
