Guest guest
My husband has pulled a muscle in the left testicle and is having mild pain at times like when he lifts heavy objects or just bending over. There is no swelling and no lumps but he's had this mild pain for about 2 weeks now. Any ideas to help would be greatly appreciated. blessings, Marlene
Guest guest
Marlene, I would think that the pain would have subsided by now. Is there any bruising? Gosh, that's a tough one especially since there is no swelling. I suppose, if you think it really is just muscular, you could apply a warm compress of castor oil several times. Perhaps in the morning and then a couple of times in a row (after the compress cools) in the evening when he can get off and stay off of his feet. Guest guest
Marlene, Looks like it's a typical casee of varicocele. Just like the veins in the leg, the veins that drain blood away from the testicles in the scrotum can become varicose, in which case a varicocele is formed. This feels like a bag of worms at the top of the testicle on the affected side and the veins themselves may be tender to the touch. The discomfort is of a dragging, aching nature, and wearing a supportive pair of pants or a jock strap will help.It usually affects the left testicle. How do I know so much about it? My hubby had the same thing 5-6 years ago and had to undergo surgery to get it fixed. I'd recommend seeing a urologist.
