Guest guest
So when you make the paste, you cut up the clove into pieces and blend with vasaline and rub in? How long can you leave it there before it will burn? Also I was reading about garlic and I read that it is not good to eat raw garlic every day..is that true? I usually eat a clove each day in something raw--should I not be doing that? Thank you all...also can you make garlic oil by putting cloves in say olive oil in a jar and letting it sit for 3 days and then straining??? I read that somewhere but it almost seems to easy... Guest guest
Hello, It is fine to eat garlic everyday - the more the better and the only side effect will be the smell! If you are taking high doses, the only time you shouuld discontinue is if you are going to have surgery as it can increase beeding time. I have used the garlic paste on the soles of feet but have found it more effective with a vegetable base (olive oil, rapeseed etc) rather than mineral (vaseline) Kate >-- Original Message -- >herbal remedies > " Marci " <twilli55 >Mon, 01 May 2006 18:46:01 -0000 >Herbal Remedies - Garlic questions >herbal remedies > > >So when you make the paste, you cut up the clove into pieces and >blend with vasaline and rub in? Guest guest
Thank you so much Kate. I forgot the whole parasite thing because my son has since came down with a viral thing (cold, or something). Yesterday he got a fever and all so last night I did the garlic paste on his feet using olive oil. By this morning, the fever is gone, a lot of the stuffiness is gone and he says " wow-I feel much better than yesterday! " . So for a 7 year old that basically refuses anything in oral form this sure did work like a charm. I used the homeopathic fever aid yesterday and when he went to bed but that's all. So thanks again-the olive oil did seem to work better but boy was he smelling like garlic all night :-).
