Guest guest
MSG is comprised of nothing more than water, sodium and glutamate. It is an amino acid found in our bodies and in protein-rich foods. I think there is more to msg than meets the eye. Like many other issues in life, this isn't a black and white issue. I think one needs to make up their own mind. That said, here are some more sites about monosodium glutamate: http://www.ific.org/publications/brochures/msgbroch.cfm http://www.eufic.org/gb/food/pag/food35/food352.htm http://www.msg.org.au/main.html http://www.glutamate.org/media/discovery_of_glutamate.asp (This is a very good site explaining the history of msg. The index is on the left...have a good look, a lot of info here.) Peace, Jen
Guest guest
Food all has natural flavour - we do not need to use flavour enhancers such as MSG. Just because something is made of naturally occuring substances does not make it safe or necessary. kate >-- Original Message -- >herbal remedies >Jen H <g33k_1ov3r >Tue, 23 May 2006 17:24:54 +0100 >Herbal Remedies - Re: MSG - The Great Debate >herbal remedies > > >MSG is comprised of nothing more than water, sodium and glutamate.
