Hi Kim

I had a partial hysterectomy about 10 years ago and after that I developed the same symptoms you did, migraines, moodiness, low energy. Last year they found huge cysts on my ovaries and removed both of them. Have they looked to see if cysts have grown on your ovaries since your hysterectomy?? It's fairly common. After I had the ovary's removed the migraines stopped. But the dry skin did start, just a part of life I guess. I do take estrogen in a very low dose because I need it right now.

You said base doctors so I assume you are military. So is my husband. I have never heard of anyone being put on anti-depressants for migraines. That is a new one to me. There are so many more things out there like Imitrix and other new medications that can control the migraines. You might ask about those. I know it's not herbal but I never found any herbal remedies that worked for my migraines. Maybe someone on the list has something they have found that works.

I'm not a medical person, just speaking from my own personal experiences. I know how frustrating it can be to deal with doctors. I am fortunate I found a really good one.

Best of luck to you,

Mythi

My name is Kim Fasser, I'm a Catholic homeschooling mother of 7, wife to career Air Force member, & artist when there's time! :)My family & I live in NE Wa state, have 3 horses, 3 Aussies, & hopefully 1 cat in the near future. (Need I say we love animals?) I've gotten my husband ( & the 3 remaining children) off of MOST junk food, we cook & bake from scratch...but I'm really wanting / needing to learn more about herbal remedies. My first question is about pre menopausal question... I had a partial hysterectomy 4 years ago & have wondered when / if I should be taking any sort of vit / minerals! (I still have my ovaries...but don't know how long they're gonna last!)I don't take any vitamins thus far because all the ones I've seen have so many artificial ingredients, I'm afraid too! I have terrible headaches (migraine AND TMJ!), dry skin, moodiness, bruising (never did before!) The base drs want to give me all sorts of anti depressants for the headaches & say chiropracters are "unproven!" so they won't refer me! Any suggestions?
