After an accumulation of stress, triggering events and episodes, after toxins, after infections, after doing more and more, even in the name of preserving health, and when doing `more' stops working, we need some new conversation about why. Let's get talking. " When Pushing Stops Working " is a presentation by two people very experienced with CFS/ME, Fibromyalgia and related syndromes: Jonathan Gilbert, herbalist and acupuncturist of The Gilbert Clinic, and Elly Brosius, facilitator of support groups in Northern Virginia, online, and via teleconference. Jonathan Gilbert's expertise is in Chinese medicine, focused upon nervous system rejuvenation. He studied in both England and in Vietnam, and has been practicing in the DC/Baltimore area for almost 8 years. Elly Brosius, speaks from the experience of many symptoms and syndromes, from being a group leader, an NFA Leader Against Pain, a CFIDS Association Grassroots Champion, an educator, advocate, and a ongoing source of encouragement for many of those with CFS/ME, Fibromyalgia, Orthostatic Intolerance, MVPS/Dysautonomia, sensory sensitivities & other debilitating conditions. Sit back, dial in, perhaps using a cordless phone and earpiece so you can move more and keep comfortable. Perhaps put your feet up so as to have more energy for listening and remembering. Join in a presentation that shares vast experience in caring for those in various states of chronic exhaustion and elusive pain. Caller questions may be taken by e-mail. Instructions will be given during the conference. The call will be recorded. Callers will be muted for most if not all of the presentation so feel free to relax about any background noise. The three hour length was chosen in part because callers will not have had to spend travel time and energy to dress and ride to a meeting location. Hang up, rest, and call back in as needed.
