Guest guest
I hate , I really do. Silly me though, I endorse and support them because I PAY for email accounts (not one but two). Grrrrrr Kenneth T I didn't know anyone still paid for email accounts anymore. Go to gmail and get free ones. I like it better, even though we now need to fight them for their Google Health initiative. What I really like is they store old emails for as long as I want.Craig I . Guest guest
With a "paid" account, I can get my emails directly through to Outlook, Outlook Express, Incredimail, or any other non website mail. I can also archive the mailings as I see fit on my own storage medium. It is far better to rely on self storage then one that can disappear tomorrow. Now a neighbor of mine refuses to give up AOL. Swearing by it both day and night. She can not understand why her computer is so slow and has numerous problems besides. The HEALTH of her computer is at risk. And you can set up a gmail account in thunderbird, pegasus, outlook, etc. for free. I use thunderbird and have everything organized in 80 folders (yeah, I'm d to a lot of groups and newsletters... And the list keeps growing!) I use several e-mail accounts, making it very easy to switch between them in thunderbird depending on the circumstances. And it is way easier to make a search of a certain disease or what somebody said of a certain topic. You can also get d to RSS readers, although I prefer to use something else for the RSS subscriptions (Omea reader). And if your mail gets too big (and it will if you receive individual messages), you can compress it. There are actually softwares to store and read entire off line... I have pgoffline, but I think they went out of business? At least it allowed me to download certain I wanted to have since message number 1. And when you do a search, it will list you all the message related to the search, with its message number. I think this is mostly an exc tool for moderators and group owners. Makes life easier and organized best, navegante
