OT Help me find some info please

I know this is a health related group but I have been a part of it for some time now and see alot of other info too. I think I could hopefully get the info I am looking for here. I need some info. I am 21 years old and have been working for a lady for some time. She has only been paying me 5.15 an hour and I have no idea why. She claims she is going to put me on min wage and she hasnt yet. I am wondering if this is legal, she says she can do this because she has a tip jar. But our tips are only 2 dollars a night tops and I have to split this with the other girls too.I thought that she had to make the difference up if our tis didnt equal out to min wage. Is this possible? Can anyone give me some info about this or send me to a site. I need to know what to do and is it possible that I can make her

reimburse me for the money I have lost? This just seems wrong...I am a single mother who does not receive any child support or anything...{ he is in jail for that now}, Living on 60 dollars a week is very hard with me and my son and it seems she is making out like a bandit. Please help...any info will be good and I will greatly appreciate it!
