Guest guest
Has anyone used products from Eclectic Institute? It seems that they specialize in freeze dried, organic western herbs as well as organic alcohol and vegetable glycerine tinctures. The prices are more then reasonable so I am wondering if anyone has any experience with them. Thanks! Jennifer
Guest guest
eclectic institute products are awesome. I love their kava nakamal, freeze dried kava juice. better than any other kava (in pill form) on the market that I have used. I believe they use whole herbs, not standardized extracts, but not sure about this for all products. I like this about them as well. Although I recognize the value in standardized extracts at times, I much prefer using the original, unaltered herb. Seems more balanced to me. Like standardized hypericum (st johns wort)--tends to cause photsensitivity. But I have not seen this problem with tinctured whole herb hypericum (st. johns wort). I think when we assume one constutuent is more important than others that we do not yet understand, we " unbalance " the original plant remedy...like medicine that looks at a disease rather than looking at the whole person.
