Orange tongue COATING

I don't know anything about this. Female, 26, it is not a stain as far

as I have been able to tell. Tongue coating is thin and a little

greasy otherwise. When it is not orange it will vary between white to

light yellow. Perhaps related to stagnation as it can show up when she

is fatigued or first thing in the morning.

Thanks,

Hugo

Hi Hugo,

Has she taken alot of antibiotics? Though I have never seen it in the tongue,

when I patient has frequently taken antibiotics, particularly as a child,

during the process of detoxification (moving accumulation and stagnation,

particularly in the liver, their urine frequently burns and becomes orange

color, as well as their stool. I don't think that it is unreasonable to surmise

that this accumulation could back up and manifest in the tongue as well.

Let me know,

All the best,

Hi Yehuda, thanks for the ideas..

No she hasn't, although she has an emotionally

derived Sp Qi damage (Liv insulting Sp + lots of

worry/overthinking).

This is possible. In this past year she has given up

on a lot of old (angry and resentful) beliefs and has

struggled greatly with the ramifications thereof. Her

tongue has shown, over the period of one year, greatly

reduced phlegm in the heart region, an overall

decrease in thickness and greasiness of the tongue

coating, and a 90% improvement in what used to be her

extremely foul breath. I am mainly worried about this

strange colour in light of her very rapid (and rocky)

improvement (change). Don't want to change things too

fast, you know.

I hope it is something like this, thank you, and if

you run into any info, if you could send it my way, I

would greatly appreciate that! :)

Though not directly related ot this, anecdotally I think that it's worth

sharing: One other MAJOR detox symptom I have seen repeatedly in detoxing

patients (I combine acupuncture, chinese herbs CranioSacral therapy and

SomatoEmotional release (Dr. John Upledger's work) besides the Orange urine and

stool is that the patient suddenly gets VERY COLD. I treated a little 9 year

old boy this morning who has had a rather serious case of ADHD. His parents

refuse to medicate him, and he is now in his 3rd school in 3 years. In addition,

he suffers from a severe facial, neck and shoulder tic, and has extraordinary

fears of the dark and of course, needles. I have been treating him for nearly 2

years. During today's session, he had a major release of a trauma that has been

with him since conception: It so happens that his 12 year old sister is

handicapped with muscular dystrophy. I don't want to go through the whole

process, but what came out was that from the time he was

conceived, he mother was overwhelmed with the fear that her new fetus would

also be handicapped. That fear became implanted in his abdominal cavity,

particularly in the upper right side. As it started to be released, he asked

for a blanket, and started shivering (even though here in LA it was in the high

70's). When the release was completed, he felt fine, was calm, focused and

according to his father, hasn't had tics since, though they were constant

heretofore. Oh, BTW, I asked at the end of the session if he would be

interested in having me place ear seeds, and unhesitantingly, he said yes.

The point I want to make is that when deep emotional or toxic stuff is

released, don't be surprised by VERY unusual accompanying symptoms.

Sincerely

Yehuda

Great for you, Yehuda, hanging in with this child. It sounds like the work you

have done has really helped him. Have you heard of Jeremy Ross's book on child

acpuncture? He has a point in the cervical vertebrae area that really helps

calm an ADHD child. Can't tell you the exact location. The ear seeds will also

be very nice.

When my son was 9 I took him to an acupuncturist for similar problems. He was

having nightmares and was hyperactive (for lack of a more precise term). The

acupuncturist used a probe on the points (he hated needles and his trauma over

them quickly eliminated them), later used a laser, also used ear pellets

(sometimes). I saw amazing improvement with the nighmares in a few months. Her

treatments also had a calming effect on him. There were behavioral things to

deal with too, and it was great having someone work with him at that time. I

hear tuning forks can be very helpful for children and cupping or guasha (if

they will take this.) I do cupping on my son now who is 13 - just to deal with

the stagnation of life building up and also to help his pitching arm.

Take Care,

Anne

Thank you, Anne

You bring up a very important point. In school we all take one or so courses

on pediatrics, but children are a world unto themselves. I have so much to

learn and I find it so humbling to deal with this pure and oh so sensitive

beings. I have learned a lot, and learn much intuitively as well. I also think

that anyone who can successfully treat infants, children and seniors develops a

heightened sensitivity making for a much better therapist/physician.

Keep teaching and I will keep learning.

All the best,

Yehuda

Hello Yehuda:

The author of Acupuncture in The Treatment of Children (1999) is Julian Scott

and Theresa Barlow. Julian Scott is well know in pediatic acupuncture. I don't

know Jeremy Ross's work (I meant to say Julian Scott)

You can try Amazon.com Think it is $79 U.S. there.

Also try www.besbuybooks. or bestwebbuys. They have a list of various wholesale

places you can purchase it and it is ranging around $65 U.S.

Good luck with this.

As I remember this story more clearly, my son was 5 when we first started him in

tx with the nighmares. The probe (on the points) alone settled him and calmed

his nightmares. I remember him getting acupunctue until he was about 9 - sports

schedules interferred and the acupuncurist was not close by. It helped him

alot. I began to do accupressure on him until I got out of school. He took the

back shu needles but is much happier not with the cupping.
