Scientific American, Feb 2007 (brand new issues), pp.66-69, article

" Spice Healer " , about curcuma longa.

Research, rooted in Indian usages, finds " multiple pathway "

beneficial effects, e.g. in various cancers, possibly Alzheimers, RA,

IBS, etc. One researcher recommends simply 8 gr daily as a supplement

-- that's in line with CM dosaging.

Discussion of the research and biomechanical mechanisms, together

with discussion of skepicism, and counter research.

And mention of the patent issues and lack (or unfruitful) interest on

the part of big pharma.

This sort of " science " strikes me as imminently compatible, useable

from a CM perspective.

Hi Chris & dear list members,

>>And mention of the patent issues and lack (or unfruitful) interest on

the part of big pharma.<<

in a way, the big companies are doing a severe mistake; it might be better to

invest some R & D efforts in ethnic medicines/remedies and during " the walking the

way " the company eventually will find ways to protect the investors money

(=patent). It happened so many times in the past, but it takes great CEOs to see

the light at the end of the tunnel...
