Guest guest
Hugo, The CA BPPVE does list them as approved to provide educational degree of PhD. Have not heard any other info on them or their program. At least they are doing within the state of their address. Mike W. Guest guest
Chris, My guess as to why that might be is that the CAB only deals with the entry level Master's programs (required for licensure) and not any others that might have post grad programs. If you will notice that AUCM (has a PhD in classical ) is also not found at the CAB website yet they have been OK by the state for their PhD. Have you looked into this program?Mike W. Mike, Exactly. Liberty began as a scam degree mill, and has scrambled to get BPPVE " approvals " , which is not that hard. The basic idea is easy access to status symbol degrees for emigrants. CAB " approval " is much more difficult to get. The CAB's focus is licensing, or entry into the profession. Liberty's " The Diploma of Acupuncture (D.A.) " doesn't have it. Even worse is the American Global University.
Guest guest
Chris, So who do you like of those PhD programs in CA? I know of several who used to offer these like Yuin, Global, Liberty and recently AUCM. I think that of the current PhD's in TCM/OM AUCM seems to be the best and most respected due to Jeffrey Yuen and Kiiko Matsumoto being primary instructors. I would love to hear your thoughts on this last one as I am considering it and have noticed some grads for this program. Have you considered lobbying the CAB to inform the immigrants that these are illegal/illegit programs? It would seem that they could do this easily, although the Liberty one may be considered legit from the CA state viewpoint. Mike W.
