Dear friends,

Recent evidence confirms that existance of the Bonghan ducts discovered some

40 years ago by Korean medical surgeon, Bonghan Kim. Kim contended that there

existed a unique circulatory system that was completely different from the blood

vascular, nervous, and lymphatic systems. Kim examined the physical basis of

the human acupuncture channels, and found distinctive tissues at acupuncture

points as well as a system of threadlike ducts spread under the skin that

followed the acupuncture channels. One of the serious objections raised by

medical experts as to the existence of the Bonghan ducts was the possibility of

confusion with lymphatic vessels. However, the use of the most up-to-date

staining and viewing, using Janus Green B as a dye and confocal laser scanning,

clearly shows that the threadlike structures are distinct from the lymphatic

walls, enabled scientists in the last 2 years to actually visualize the

intralymphatic threads which Kim described. These

findings were published in the March 2007 issue of the journal, " Evidence Based

Complementary and Alternative Medicine, " pg 77-82.

Thanks for the impetus of getting this to you goes to our esteemed member,

Mike Bowser, who sent me a voluminous amount of information on the Bonghan

ducts, asked me if I could post it to the group, but then I found this great

article that really summarizes everything.

All the best,

Yehuda,

Did you post these pdf to the group? There are some pdf that show other ways

that

these ducts and their pathways were identified and this might better help to

explain

the connection with mai. I would appreciate if these could be posted.

ThanksMike W. Bowser, L Ac
