Guest guest
Sent out some job apps today and noticed the envelopes smell like cinnamon. They were in my backpack with a baggie of Tom's of Maine cinnamon toothpaste (why it's in a baggie is a long story--toothpaste having fallen out of bag and onto floor unbeknownst to me + my bf's foot, not knowing it was there = split tube end and big mess. Most was salvageable, hence the bag). So I was thinking...some scents put people in a good mood and give them warm fuzzy feelings, right? Is cinnamon one of those? I know vanilla is, etc...hey, if these people are in a good mood with a little aromatherapy while they read my apps/resume, could only be good for me, right? What effect does cinnamon have on people? -K
Guest guest
I love going into the grocery store at Christmas time when they have the straw brooms that smell like cinnamon. I could stand there for hours and inhale the scent. Rahnny
Guest guest
Well, there was actually a study done about amorous scents, and for men, cinnamon buns came in as the top romance-inspiring scent! I don't know what kind of job you are applynig for, LOL, but you just may get it and then some! :-) Couldn't resist! ;-) Debbie deb Luxury for your skin, body and soul www.debrasrhapsody.com - " Kat " <jelliclekat12 Monday, May 03, 2004 3:45 PM Cinnamon = Good feelings?? > Sent out some job apps today and noticed the envelopes smell like > cinnamon. It will give people a good feeling about you. I have read recently that the most exciting (whatever you choose THAT to mean) smell for men is Pumpkin Pie Spice. While the testing probably used a combination of actual spices and synthetic essential oils, just using a component, cinnamon, will probably have some positive effect. Guest guest
Woohoo! Although I guess if my resume can't get me by, nothing will help...If I'd had a choice, I'd have picked lavender or maybe vanilla, but who makes lavender toothpaste? It's a good thought to remember, though....I never would've thought of it on my own, that a subtle scent to a job app or resume might make it stand out among others. If I got a resume that smelled nice, I'd prolly take more time in reading it just to smell it. Unless they hate the smell...then they'll take as little time as possible to look at it! Maybe it'll make the postal workers happy as they sort it through. I like to scent personal letters with lavender EO but I'm always a bit nervous about it because I'm afraid some postal worker will smell a weird scent on an envelope and think I'm a terrorist sending chemicals or something, and my letter won't get there, or will get opened at the post office to see what the smell is, or I'll have gov't officials beating down my door...lol. Hasn't happened yet though. Kinna a scary thought though about it making men amorous...beings as anyone who would be hiring me would prolly be old enough to be my father! Don't think my bf would take too kindly to it either. Does it do anything to women? I honestly don't know which will be looking at these. -K , Sandra Thompson <sandrat@o...> wrote: > > > > > > > What effect does cinnamon have on people? > > -K > > > Hi Kat > I think you are wise to put cinnamon on your job app. envelopes. Guest guest
FYI One of my friends absolutely detest Cinnamon. She said it reminds her of somone throwing up. Odly, she likes Cinnamon Leaf Oil, but the bark oil, and cinnamon powder will drive her out of your house for weeks.
