Critiques of Reference Publications

Let me preface this by saying that I have an interesting neorobiological

syndrome that often times causes me to take things people say literally rather

than figuratively.

So I am trying to figure out why you think the website about my son is vulgar as

that is what came after my below post that you (snipped)?

I also am fiercely concerned with offending people, but alas, another

characteristic of the syndrome is sometimes stating things exactly as they are

not realizing it may upset someone. I *was* slightly annoyed at having my posts

made public. But not because I was saying anything to be ashamed about, but

because when you think things are being said private, and find they are not, it

is a little uncomfortable.

I am sorry this topic is upsetting to some, but I am interested in hearing

various thoughts and opinions. I can assure anyone that I do not expect to have

all info spoon-fed to me. I do research. It's another aspect of my syndrome.

I do research at an obsessive level at times. However, eccentric as I may be, I

am in good company as it is the same syndrome Albert Einstein, and possibly

Thomas Jefferson, had. ;-)

I will never purposefully try to cause contention, so I hope this all can stay a

sharing of opinions and info, so that we can continue to learn.

Warmly,

Tracy

I have no idea what you are talking about, Tracy. I have never visited your

website. I was referring to Butch's vulgar remarks about a pig. His post

had several obscenities in it, and you quoted some of them.

Well, then, i wish you had not kept oils_herbs in the subject line. Like I

said, when people write and ask me specifics, I write back to the group.

It's only logical. I'm not going to have enough hours in the day to reply

to each person individually, esp. when the original query was in a public

forum. Perhaps you could learn to use " private " in the message subject

header? Most folks do. I know I do.

And you might consider, in the future, if you are " fiercely concerned about

offending people " that you not brand them annoying in a public forum where

they have taken time out of their busy day to respond to you.

My goodness, wasn't this a snide little reply? :-) I didn't call *you*

annoying at all, I called having my personal posts sent to the list without my

knowing it annoying. A bit of a difference.

I have never received a response with 'private' in the subject line, so I guess

'most' people haven't learned to do that. You don't know my e-mail, so if I had

taken out oils & herbs, how would you have known who I was? When one hits reply

in this group, it goes to the group automatically. Therefore, I couldn't

accidentally send it to you only.

Now, I won't continue clogging the list anymore defending myself, and I would

appreciate it if you will discontinue insinuating that I am dumber than a stump.

:-) Believe me, I am far from that. You have no idea. LOL! Have a good day!

Tracy,

What a wonderful memorial to your precious son. I

cried a lot while reading it. Thank you for

sharing his and your story with the world.

Hugs,

Cheryl
