Guest guest
Monoï de Tahiti: This exotic oil is produced in French Polynesia in a traditional manner, as it has been done for hundreds of years. It is a 100% natural vegetal blend that is extracted from the Tahitian Tumu Ha'ari (Cocos Nucifera) palm tree, grown in rich volcanic soil, and from the local " Tiaré " (Gardenia Tahitensis) flowers. For generations, the island dwellers of French Polynesia have used this ingredient to hydrate, protect, nourish and soften their skin and condition their hair. Recent laboratory tests done in France have demonstrated that Monoï de Tahiti helps the skin to look better and healthier after the very first use and also validated some other important facts about Monoï de Tahiti. It was proven as having superior hydrating abilities over ordinary coconut oil, jojoba and shea butter! It is said to be an effective anti-wrinkle agent and has a mild anti-dandruff effect when used regularly as a pre-shampoo treatment. This Monoï de Tahiti is being imported directly from French Polynesia and is not the same Monoï de Tahiti which is widely available with synthetic fragrances added to it. This Monoï de Tahiti does have it's " Appellation of Origin " which is a guarantee of source and quality of the product. It also has a certificate of analysis from the batch. It is made from all organic ingredients (but it is NOT 3rd party Certified Organic). It is available in: original " Fragrance free " , which has a VERY subtle scent which is almost undetectable, and in the " Tiki " scent which comes from adding the scent acquired from many macerated gardenia flowers to the Monoï de Tahiti . The scent of the " Tiki " Monoï de Tahiti DOES come through the soap making process! This is a stable oil with a shelf life of several years! Pricing for each variety is as follows : $ 14.25 / pint (16 fl oz) (minimum 2 pint order) $ 105.00 / gallon (128 fl oz) This oil usually sells for up to $35.00 per pint, but by purchasing a large quantity, I am able to offer it at these discounted co-op prices. Co-op Fee: I hate to do this, but due to the more expensive packaging needed for this, there is a $3.00 co-op fee. If you take part in both the Virgin Oil de Coco Crème co-op and the Monoï de Tahiti co-op I can reduce the total fee from $6.00 to $4.00 total for both Co-op closing date: until all 400 lbs. are sold Payment Options: check, money order, pay pal (no credit cards please, but if you MUST use a CC we may have to assess a small processing fee. CC processing fees for the co-op will be waived for all co-op orders that are placed in conjunction with a retail order) Shipping: FedEx Ground, UPS Ground or USPS Parcel Post (from Sugar Land, TX 77478). Whichever method is least $$$, unless otherwise requested. Guest guest
For UK readers, I know that Essentially Oils have stocked this extract for years. It has a really nice fragrance. I have seen it there along with the documentation showing direct import. Charles and Jan Wells used to live in the South Pacific and have many contacts there. Just be careful about any claimed research from France!
